I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Once that is sorted, give us a call, no matter what the day or time is. We will be with you rapidly to fix the leak.

While waiting for the plumber to arrive, remove any significant items close to the leak, and clean up any water or position a bucket to catch any drips. If you’ve turned the mains water off, also switch off the heating for the hot water as well.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.
